League seasons get underway at Hickory Ridge
Mother nature hasn’t been kind to area golf courses and leagues.
The season finally got a start at Hickory Ridge with the Ladies Night Out league playing in horrible conditions on Tuesday. Despite the cold and wet Deb Wood shot low gross with a 40. She also carded the only birdie on the night. Melissa Cotter and Aleta Maynard both shot 45. Cotter was low net with a 34 and Sue Gay was next with a 38.
Men’s leagues on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights along with the Senior League on Thursday morning will be kicking off this week thanks to the forecasted great weather. In addition, the first members’ tournament of the Hickory Ridge Golf Association will be held this upcoming Saturday. Tee times and pairings have already been sent to participants.
