Lady Rams edge past Wilson in N-O soccer

Front-running Roy-Hart edged past host Wilson 2-1 this evening to remain undefeated at 4-0 in Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer competition.

Kara Choate scored a goal in each half for Roy-Hart off assists first from Kaitlyn Mettler and then from Ava Owens.

Reanna Perkins made several big saves in goal for the Lady Rams.

Wilson is now 2-2.

N-O Cross-Country

Medina earned a split with host Wilson in Niagara-Orleans League cross-country competition. The Mustangs won the boys meet 20-37 and Wilson took the girls competition 24-31.

Arian Cayea and Gabe Mark finished 1-2 for the Mustangs which improve to 2-0.

In the other meet, Newfane swept host Roy-Hart winning the boys meet 22-35 and the girls competition 15-50.

Connor Cuzzacrea and Andrew Cuzzacrea finished  1-3 to lead the Newfane boys as Jay Heideman placed second for Roy-Hart.

In the girls race, Kylie Bowman, Maggie Quattrini and Leah Siegmann finished 1-2-3 for Newfane.

Both Newfane teams are now 2-0.
