Law enforcement will step up seat belt enforcement May 22-June 4

ALBION – The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with law enforcement throughout the state, and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee will engage in the 2023 Click It or Ticket Campaign. This campaign will run from May 22–June 4, 2023.
The Click it or Ticket Campaign is a statewide enforcement campaign designed to save lives and reduce the severity of injuries by increasing safety restraint use.
The Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee has set a strategic goal to increase the observed statewide seat belt use rate and to decrease unrestrained occupant fatalities in passenger vehicles. The strategies identified to accomplish these goal include high visibility enforcement, public information and education.
