Late surge lifts Lady Rams past Purple Eagles

A big late inning scoring burst keyed Roy-Hart to a 9-5 win over host Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game this evening.

The Lady Rams moved on top to stay in the sixth inning by a 7-5 score as Peyton May and Adella Dukes both had a double, Maria Peracciny a single and Millie Owens and Hayley Hillburn RBI singles.

Kaitlin Mettler had 2 singles and a two-run triple on the evening for the Lady Rams as May and Peracciny both had a pair of hits.

In the circle, Abby Fox registered 6 strikeouts for the Lady Rams.

For Albion, Kenzi Snook had a double and a triple with 2 RBI, Cami London a single and a double and Abby Wittenberg 2 singles.

Roy-Hart is now 7-4 and Albion 4-6 in N-O action.

In another N-O game, front-running Akron improved to 9-1 with a 3-1 win over Wilson.

Sloan Jonathan earned the win in the circle allowing 3 hits and striking out 15.

Danon O’Brien had 3 hits and Lia Larson, Brooke Rodas and Gracie Robb 2 each for Kendall in the 18-11 Genesee Region League win at Pembroke this afternoon.

Kendall is now 5-6 in the league and 5-7 overall.
