Putting together a clutch last inning rally, Lyndonville nipped visiting Oakfield-Alabama 4-3 this afternoon to remain unbeaten at 5-0 in Genesee Region League softball action.

Trailing 3-2, Lyndonville rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on an error and an RBI single by Miranda Lembcke to claim the narrow win in the game which was dedicated to young Ella Suhr who is battling cancer. A one out double by Aubrey Lewis sparked the rally.

Oakfield-Alabama had grabbed the lead by scoring once in the top of the seventh on a double by Justine Pruski.

Lyndonville’s other runs came in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Lisa Boyce. Two walks and a single by Lembcke set up that opportunity.

The Lady Tigers next host Wheatland-Chili in a G-R game at 10 a.m. Saturday.
