Late goals lift Mustangs past Purple Eagles

A quick two goal scoring burst late in the second half earned Medina a 2-0 win over rival Albion in the Niagara-Orleans League boys socccer season finale at Vets Park this evening.

Cole Callard broke a scoreless tie when he tallied with 14:09 to go in the second half.

Tyler Kroening then added a big insurance goal less than a minute later at 13:26.

Brady Christiaansen made several big saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Medina finishes the N-O season at 8-2 and Albion at 5-5.

Roy-Hart 6, Newfane 0
Roy-Hart finished the N-O season at 5-5 with a 6-0 win over Newfane (0-10).

Jack Johnson scored 3 goals for the Rams as Jayden Swygert, Dawson Draper and Landen Guild each netted 1.

Wilson 7, Akron 1
Wilson completed a 10-0 N-O championship season by downing Akron 7-1 as Keegan Hermann, Sean Kropp and Aidan Neumann each scored 2 goals and Blake Simpson 1.

Final N-O Standings: Wilson 10-0, Medina 8-2, Albion 5-5, Roy-Hart 5-5, Akron 2-8, Newfane 0-10
