Late goal earns Tigers non league soccer win; Mustangs claim 12th win
A late goal earned Lyndonville a narrow 1-0 victory over host Vertus in a non league boys soccer game this evening.
Colton Smith scored the lone goal for the Tigers with just 1:10 remaining as Juan Alberdi and Jesus Rosario earned the assists.
Brody Hazel earned the shutout in goal as the foursome of Rosario, Michael Alexander, Austin Fonda and Chanse Amsdill anchored the defense for the Tigers which notched their fifth win of the season.
Medina 2, Olmsted 0
Improving to 12-2-1 overall, Medina blanked host Olmsted 2-0 in another non league game this evening.
Aidan Papaj and Tyler Kroening each scored a goal in the second half for the Mustangs as Vinny Gray earned both assists.
Medina will close out the regular season by hosting Central Christian Academy at 7 p.m. Friday in a non league contest.
