Some 75 young basketball enthusiasts are enrolled at the camp which is divided into three grade group sessions (3-5, 6-8 and 9-12). “It’s important for everybody to participate, to have fun and to learn to love the game,” said Meakin who is directing the camp along with Albion girls varsity basketball Coach Lucian Price. The camp, which runs through Thursday, utilizes a variety of drills and games to teach the youngsters the basic skills of the game. “We’re working to teach them the fundamentals and to have them value the fundamentals,” said Meakin.
