Large area group on GCC soccer squad

Four Orleans County players are among a total of 14 former Niagara-Orleans League and Genesee Region League players on this season’s Genesee Community College women’s soccer team.

The local quartet includes Holley graduate Alivia Wolf, a sophomore defender, along with the Albion trio of freshmen midfielders Alison Gibson, McKinley Knight and Mia Standish.

The N-O League is also represented by freshman forward Olivia Nowak from Akron.

Th G-R’s large contingent includes sophomore goalie Natalie Princi, sophomore midfielders Ava Gray and Emma Starowitz and freshman midfielder Libby Starowitz from Byron-Bergen; sophomore forward Piper Hyde, sophomore midfielder Macy Altamirano and freshman defender Alahna Chatt from Oakfield-Alabama/Elba along with sophomore forward Eva Heineman and freshman forward Cora Whitcombe from Alexander.

Hyde has 5 goals and 1 assist, Emma Starowitz 4 goals, Wolf 3 goals and 2 assists, Libby Starowitz 2 goals and 3 assists, Gray 4 assists and Altamirano 1 goal.

GCC is now 6-3.
