Lancers down Tigers; Eagles and Hawks bow

A scoring burst to close the opening quarter ignited Elba to a 69-34 win over host Lyndonville in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game this evening.
The Lancers put together a 13-3 run to open up a 20-9 lead at the end of the first period. Michael Long and Angelo Penna each scored 8 to lead that uprising.
Keeping the momentum, the Lancers then broke the contest wide open by exploding for a 29-3 surge in the second period to race away to a commanding 49-12 half-time advantage. Bing Zuber tallied 10 and Ashton Bezon 9 to lead that surge.
The Lancers maintained a 63-18 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Bezon finished with a game high 19 as Long, Zuber and Penna each scored 12.
Colton Smith scored 11 and Justin Higgins 10 to lead Lyndonville as Quincy McClinsey and Jacob Pitcher each added 5 and Bradley Jisa 3.
Byron-Bergen 66, Kendall 61
Braedyn Chambry poured in 35 and Colin Martin added 15 to lead Byron-Bergen to a 66-61 win over visiting Kendall in a G-R contest.
Louis Conte scored 14, Austin Werth 13, Austin Wakefield 12 and Jonas Rhodes 10 for Kendall.
Attica 77, Holley 50
Building up a 41-21 half-time advantage, Attica went on to down host Holley 77-50 in another G-R game as Cole Harding scored 19 and Jack Janes 14 to lead the way.
Destin Kuyal took game high honors for Holley with 21.
