Lakewomen top Lady Rams to gain B2 semis
Racing out to a 23-5 first quarter lead, top seeded Wilson went on to down visiting No. 8 Niagara-Orleans League foe Roy-Hart 56-26 in a Section VI Class B2 girls basketball quarterfinal round playoff game this evening.
Peyton McInnis scored 13 and Rian Faery 7 in the opening period for Wilson which went on to lead by margins of 30-14 at the half and 43-22 at the three-quarter mark.
McInnis finished with 18 and Faery 17 for the Lakewomen which will next face either No. 4 Allegany-Limestone or No. 5 Eden in the Class B2 semifinals on Wednesday at Kenmore West.
Courtney Aqulina scored 8 and Juliana Terwilliger 6 for Roy-Hart.
In Class B1 quarterfinal action, No. 4 Akron downed No. 5 Health Sciences 55-35 and No. 2 East Aurora edged No. 7 Newfane 41-38.
