Lakemen down Mustang booters

Scoring two goals in each half, Wilson defeated Medina/Lyndonville 4-1 this evening at Vets Park to take over second place in the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer standings at 3-1.

Wilson jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Tyler VanBuren and Brayden Skobjak.

Medina/Lyndonville did cut the deficit to 2-1 before half-time as Elian Gonzalez scored off an assist from Vassilios Bitsas but the Mustangs could not find the net again.

The Lakemen put a lock on the victory as VanBuren and Cesar Carlin scored goals in the second half.

The loss drops the Mustangs to 3-2 in N-O competition.

Roy-Hart 1, Akron 0
Roy-Hart made a goal by Jameson Johnson just three minutes into the first half stand up for a narrow 1-0 victory over visiting Akron.

Kodey Hayes made 7 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Roy-Hart is now 1-3 and Akron 0-5 in N-O action.
