Lady Wildcats down Lady Tigers

Regaining the lead for good with a big run to close the third period, Wheatland-Chili went on to defeat host Lyndonville 50-33 this evening in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game.
Lyndonville rallied into a 19-19 tie early in the third period after two free throws by Makenzie Muck followed by a three-point play by Anna Lewis.
However, W-C answered with an 18-7 run to close the period and move back on top to stay by a 37-26 margin at the three-quarter mark. Taylor Clar scored 10 of her game high 23 points to lead that uprising.
W-C led 6-4 after one period and 17-14 at the half.
Muck finished with a total of 11 points and Aubrey Lewis 9 for Lyndonville as Anna Lewis netted 5, Abi Rodriguez 4 and Miranda Lembcke and Stacey Buckland 2 each.
Lyndonville is now 0-1 in the league and 1-3 overall.

Pembroke 40, Holley 13
Courtney Winkley and Madison Marsh each scored 5 points and Olivia Radford 3 for Holley in the 40-13 G-R loss at Pembroke.
Wilson 61, Lew-Port 34
Rachel Senek scored 17, Serina Jaeger 12, Lauren Coutuerier 9 and Jodie Vincent and Kayla Neumann 8 each to lead Wilson to a 61-34 non league victory over Lew-Port.
Senek also grabbed off 17 rebounds.
Wilson held a commanding 31-13 lead at the half.
