Lady Tigers get home game to open sectional playoffs

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Lyndonville’s Abigail Feldman and her Lady Tiger teammates will open the sectional playoffs at home on February 18 against Avoca.

Seeded No. 8, Lyndonville will host No. 9 Avoca at 7 p.m. February 18 in the opening round of the Section V Class D1 girls basketball playoffs.

Lyndonville and Avoca both posted 3-15 records during the regular season.

The winner will visit top seeded undefeated (18-0) Romulus in the quarterfinals on February 21.

In Section V Class C1 opening round action, No. 11 Holley will visit No. 6 Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. February 19.

Bloomfield went 5-13 and Holley 3-15 during the regular season.

The winner will visit No. 3 Gananda (15-3) in the quarterfinals on February 22.

In Section V Class C2 first round action, No. 10 Kendall will visit No. 7 Cuba-Rushford at 7 p.m. February 19.

Cuba-Rushford went 12-6 and Kendall 6-12 during the regular season.

The winner will visit No. 2 Pembroke (13-5) in the quarterfinals on February 22.
