Lady Tigers win with big 7th inning

Breaking away from an 8-8 deadlock, Lyndonville erupted for 6 runs in the seventh inning to defeat host Oakfield-Alabama 14-8 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.

Two-run doubles by Gracie Johnson and Megan Kriesher highlighted the decisive uprising for the Lady Tigers which also included a double by Cassie Boyce and a single by Chloe Stinson.

Krisher had a total of 4 hits, including three doubles, as Johnson and Stinson both had three base raps.

Lyndonville improves to 3-1 in the league and 5-1 overall.

In other G-R action Holley had a 16-7 advantage in hits but dropped a 32-11 decision to Elba and Byron-Bergen trimmed Holley 5-3.

Halee Passarell and Tia Hoffarth both had 4 hits and Jocelyn Chilton 2 for the Lady Hawks.
