Lady Tigers win to share Div. II crown

Scoring in five different innings, Lyndonville romped to a 14-4 victory over visiting Byron-Bergen this afternoon to earn a share of the Genesee Region League Division II softball championship.

Lyndonville and Elba emerge as Division II co-champions with identical records of 7-1 in the division and 12-2 overall in the league.

Lyndonville took the lead for good by scoring four quick runs in the first inning highlighted by a two-run home run by Miranda Lembcke, a double by Anna Lewis and an RBI single by Jess Harling.

The Lady Tigers later tallied 3 times in the fifth as Aubrey Lewis and Lembcke had RBIs.

Lyndonville capped off the win by scoring 4 times in the sixth on a two-run single by Harling and RBI singles by Aubrey Lewis and Lembcke.

Alexander 7, Holley 0
Madison Papaj had 3 hits and Brookjlynn Bartholomew 2 for Holley in the G-R loss to Alexander.
