Lady Tigers win G-R softball opener
Lyndonville opened the Genesee Region League softball season on a high note defeating host Elba 12-1 this afternoon.
Hannah Fox hurled a 5 hitter with 4 strikeouts for the Lady Tigers.
Bella Groves and Rylan Townsend both had 2 hits as Kayli Miller had a double and Fox and Addie Dillenbeck singles for the Lady Tigers which scored 4 runs in the second inning and 6 in the third.
Medina 18, Maryvale 10
Three home runs highlighted the offense as Medina posted an 18-10 win over host Maryvale in a non league game.
Molly Cook had a grand slam home run, Lilah Class a three-run blast and Baleigh McAdoo a solo shot.
McAdoo, Samantha Heschke and Lorelei Sanders each had two hits. Sanders’ hits included a triple and Heschke’s a double.
Pembroke 22, Albion 6
In another non league contest Pembroke downed visiting Albion 22-6.
Kenzi Snook had 3 hits including a home run for Albion.
Akron 5, Lockport 1
Akron bested Lockport 5-1 in a non league contest as Sloan Jonathan registered 7 strikeouts in the circle and Ashlee Henning belted a home run and a two-run triple. Kylie Mangione also drove in a pair of runs.
Roy-Hart 18, JFK 6
Breaking away from a 5-5 deadlock, Roy-Hart outscored host JFK 13-1 the rest of the way to earn an 18-6 non league win.
Hayley Hillburn had 3 hits for Roy-Hart as Abby Fox earned the win in the circle.
Oakfield-Alabama 9, Barker 5
Three run scoring bursts in the third and seventh innings keyed Oakfield-Alabama to a 9-5 win over Barker in a non league game.
Madelina Pavlock had a triple and Elise Monaco a double for Barker.
