Lady Tigers top Mustangs; Purple Eagles win

Improving to 7-1, Akron blanked Medna/Lyndonville 3-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game this evening at Vets Park.
Kara Sequin scored all three goals for Akron, one in the first half and two in the final 12 minutes of the second half to lock up the win.
Kaya Bloom made several big saves in goal to keep Medina/Lyndonville in the game.
The Mustangs are now 2-5 in N-O action.
Albion 6, Barker 0
Five different players contributed goals as Albion blanked host Barker 6-0.
Brylie Hapeman scored a pair of goals for the Purple Eagles as Mariah Plain, Kendall Derisley, Lexi Wolck and Claire Squicciarini each added one.
Sydney Mukla earned the shutout in goal for Albion which improves to 4-3-1.
The loss drops Barker to 0-7.
Newfane 5, Roy-Hart 1
Emily Foltz scored 3 goals and Kayleigh Daniels 2 to lead Newfane (7-1-1) to a 5-1 win over Roy-Hart (1-6) at Gasport.
Foltz also had 2 assists as Daniels, Erin Dunn and Meghan Mietlicki each added 1.
Boys Soccer
Keshequa nipped Medina/Lyndonville 1-0 in a non league game at Lyndonville and Wheatland-Chili downed Kendall 3-1 in a Genesee Region League contest. Nate Warters scored the Kendall goal. In another G-R game, Pembroke nipped Holley 3-2 in overtime. Andrew Moseman and Erik Balys scored for Holley.

Medina scored a straight set non league win at Tapestry as Divere Brown had 5 aces and 6 assists, Kharise Johnson 5 assists, Breanna Islam 4 kills, Alyssa Beyer 4 kills and Ellie Gross 6 aces and 3 kills.
