Lady Tigers sweep twin bill from Lady Lancers

Lyndonville swept to a doubleheader victory over visiting Elba this afternoon by scores of 6-2 and 18-4 to improve to 7-1 in Genesee Region League softball competition and 9-1 overall.
A five-run third inning, which included doubles by Gracie Johnson and Chloe Stinson and a single by winning pitcher Stacy Bucklnd keyed Lyndonville to the opening game win.
In the circle, Buckland therew a 3 hitter with 2 strikeouts.
In the second game, Lyndonvile broke away from an early 3-3 deadlock by exploding for 10 runs in the second inning. Johnson had a two-run double and an RBI single, Buckland a two-run double and Anna Lewis an RBI single to highlight that uprising.
Buckland, Johnson and Lewis each had two hits and Alecia Hinkson had a big two-run triple in the first inning.
Lorelei Dillenbeck picked up the win in the circle.
Holley 8, Wheatland-Chili 4
Maddie Marsh struck out 8 in the circle for Holley in the 8-4 G-R win over Wheatland-Chili.
Julia Buck and Alexis Clemons both had 2 hits for the Lady Hawks.
Holley also dropped a 13-3 decision to Notre Dame.
