Lady Tigers score win over Irish to go to 6-1

Improving to 6-1, Lyndonville downed visiting Notre Dame 8-3 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.

Lyndonville scored two quick runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Ella Lewis and an RBI single by Chloe Stinson as a double by Gracie Johnson set up the threat.

Keeping the momentum, the Lady Tigers erupted for four runs in the second inning as winning pitcher Haley Shaffer, Stinson and Brooke Robinson all had RBI singles.

A bunt single by Addison Dillenbeck followed by singles by Johnson and Lorelei Dillenbeck then helped to tack on a pair of insurance runs in the fifth frame.

Lorelei Dillenbeck had a total of three hits as Johnson, Stinson and Robinson each had two.

In the circle, Shaffer registered 8 strikeouts.

Kendall 7, Byron-Bergen 3

Lauren Pilon had a triple and single, Shelby Kruger a double and 3 RBIs, Taigan Guerrero a double and 2 RBIs and Grace Levett an RBI double to lead the offense for Kendall in the 7-3 victory over Byron-Bergen.

In the circle, Sara Mattle scattered 9 hits and struck out 6.

Kendall is now 4-3.

In another G-R contest, Oakfield-Alabama downed Holley 18-1.
