Lady Tigers score road win in 9 innings
Lyndonville outlasted host Elba 10-7 in 9 innings in a Genesee Region League softball game this afternoon.
Lyndonville first tied the game at 7-7 with a run in the seventh inning on a double by Addison Dillenbeck and an error.
The Lady Tigers then claimed the win by scoring 3 times in the ninth inning on an RBI ingle by Isabella Groves and an error. A single by Hannah Fox and an error set up the threat.
The teams also traded 5 run scoring bursts in the sixth inning as Braelynn Dillenbeck and Elena Barry both singled in a pair of runs for the Lady Tigers.
Addison Dillenbeck finished with 4 hits, Groves 3 and Arnie Sturtevant and Barry 2 each . Sturtevant’s hits included a triple, Dillenbeck’s two doubles as Groves and Barry each had a double.
Lyndonville is now 16-2 overall.
Kendall 22, York 16
Pounding out 22 hits, Kendall bested York 22-16 in a non league game.
Izzy D’Agostino had 5 hits, Alea Barrett, Teagan Shaw and Ella Christ 3 each and Maggie Zastrow, Inez Stangler and Sophia Picardo 2 each for Kendall.
Salamanca 16, Medina 7
No 16 seed Salamanca downed visiting No. 17 Medina 16-7 in the opening round of the Section VI Class B playoffs.
Sophia Goyette had a single and double, Savannah Jo Thompson a triple and Alexa Demmer and Caliyah St. Louis doubles for Medina as Karlee Cau and Isabelle Perez also drove in runs.
