Lady Tigers romp to 8th victory

Improving to 8-1, Lyndonville defeated visiting Oakfield-Alabama 13-3 in a Genesee Region League softball game this afternoon.

Lyndonville scored five quick runs in the first inning and later capped off the victory by tallying three times in both the third and sixth frames.

Lorelie Dillenbeck had three hits, including a double, Chloe Stinson two hits, winning pitcher Haley Shaffer a triple, Ella Lewis a double and Addison Dillenbeck a two-run single to lead the Lady Tigers at the plate.

In the circle, Shaffer gave up only 4 hits and struck out 10.

In another G-R game Attica downed Kendall 8-5.

Oakfield-Alabama 11, Lyndonville 1

A rash of errors proved costly as Lyndonville dropped an 11-1 decision at Oakfield-Alabama snapping the Tigers seven game winning streak.

In all, Lyndonville committed seven errors which helped to plate eight of the Hornets runs.

Rolland Balcerzak had three hits for Lyndonville which is now 7-2.
