Lady Tigers romp past Lady Trojans
Photos By Cheryl Wertman –Â Lyndonville shortstop Rebekah Hoffee gets set to put the tag on Alexander’s Lexi Brenten during the Lady Tigers win over the visiting Lady Trojans this afternoon.
Taking charge with a big 8 run second inning scoring burst, Lyndonville went on to post a 19-4 victory over visiting Alexander this afternoon in a 15-run rule Genesee Region League softball game.
A three-run home run by Aubrey Lewis highlighted the decisive second inning uprising for Lyndonville which snapped an early 2-2 tie.
Haley Wetherbee also had a double and Lisa Boyce 2 singles in the inning which also included singles by Morgan Hungerford, Rebekah Hoffee and Kaitlyn Albone.
The Lady Tigers also had a big 6 run fourth inning highlighted by a three-run triple by Wetherbee.

Boyce, who closed out the victory with a two-run single in the sixth, had a total of 4 hits on the day as Hoffee had 3 and Lewis, Hungerford, Wetherbee and Albone 2 each.
On defense, Albone turned a double play in the sixth inning which also saw Miranda Lembke at catcher throw a runner out at second.
Maddy Boyle went the distance in the circle for the Lady Tigers scattering 4 hits and striking out 7.
Lyndonville is now 5-1 in the league and 7-1 overall.
Oakfield-Alabama 16, Holley 0
A single by Bailey Papaj was Holley’s only hit in a 16-0 G-R loss to visiting Oakfield-Alabama.
Holley pitcher Madison Day registered 9 strikeouts.
Elba 6, Kendall 0
Chelsea Wright, Kacey Menge and Marisa Hanlon had the only hits for host Kendall in the Lady Eagles 6-0 G-R loss to Elba.
