Lady Tigers roll to win over Mustangs

Racing out to a 16 point first quarter lead, Lyndonville went on to defeat host Medina 53-25 in a non league girls basketball game this afternoon.

Ashlee Stephens scored 6, Haley Shaffer and Lorelei Dillenbeck 4 and Addy Dillenbeck and Shelby Boring 2 each in the opening period as the Lady Tigers jumped out to an 18-2 lead.

Shaffer added 6 in the second period as Lyndonville upped its advantage to 24, 28-4, at the half.

Seven players then contributed baskets for the Lady Tigers in the third period as the lead ballooned to 40, 48-8, at the three-quarer mark.

Stephens finished with 14 and Shaffer 12 to lead Lyndonville as Addy Dillenbeck and Lorelei Dillenbeck both had 6, Jocelyn Mack 5, Boring 4, Annabelle Follman 3, Kayli Miller 2 and Isabella Groves 1.

Rylee VanNostrand scored 11 and Stella Poler 10 to pace Medina as Honesty Hill and Alaia McGill both had 2.

Lyndonville improves to 6-2 and Medina slips to 2-4.
