Lady Tigers post shutout in home debut

Making a sparkling home debut, Lyndonville/Medina blanked visiting Attica 4-0 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half as Ella Lewis scored on a breakaway off an assist from Anna Lewis with 13:16 remaining and then Anna Lewis tallied with just 1:52 to go.

Putting a lock on the victory, the Lady Tigers tackled on a pair of insurance goals in the second half by Paige McDonald and Ashley Howell as Morgan Allis picked up an assist.

Haylee Seefeldt made 7 saves to earn the shutout in goal.

The Lady Tigers are now 1-1 in G-R competition.

Byron-Bergen 5, Holley 2
Halee Passarell scored both goals for Holley in the 5-2 G-R loss to Byron-Bergen.

Roy-Hart 6, Barker 0
Maddie Fry and Kara Choate each scored two goals and Meghan Washington and Clare Jones both added one to lead Roy-Hart to a 6-0 Niagara-Orleans League win over Barker.

Boys Soccer
Albion 3, Campbell-Savona 0
Albion blanked Campbell-Savona 3-0 this evening in the opening round of the Byron-Bergen Tournament.

Kendyll Hadick scored two goals and Angel Rosario one for the Purple Eagles as Angel Colon and Omar Peterson shared in earning the shutout in goal. Nate Scanlan, Spencer Sietmann and Spencer Lombard all earned assists.

Albion next faces ByronBergen in the championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday.
