Lady Tigers post close win over Lady Hawks
Moving back above the .500 mark at 5-4, Lyndonville trimmed host Holley 42-37 this evening in a Genesee Region League game.
Ella Lewis scored 19 and Lorelei Dillenbeck 13 to spark the Lady Tigers.
Olivia Radford netted 14 and Tatum Gagne 10 for the Lady Hawks.
Lyndonville grabbed a 12-8 first quarter lead as Lewis scored 8 in the early going.
The Lady Tigers maintained narrow leads of 22-18 at the half and 31-27 at the three-quarter mark.
Lewis scored 5 in the second period for the Lady Tigers while Dillenbeck hit a three in each of the first three quarters. They each then scored 4 in the final stanza to help lock up the win.
Radford scored 8 in the second period for Holley.
In another G-R contest. Byron-Bergen downed Kendall 41-32.
Pembroke 67, Albion 18
Serene Calderon and Dekari Moss each scored 12 to lead Pembroke to the 67-18 romp over visiting Albion in a non league game.
Aly Knaak led Albion with 8.
Akron 42, Medina 31.
Jayni Sundown and Sophie Jones each scored 10 to key Akron to a 42-31 win over visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League game.
Gracie Hughes scored 7, Nodia Osby 6 and Sarah Sones 5 to pace Medina.
Akron is now 2-4 and Medina 0-4 in N-O action. The Mustangs visit Newfane at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in a makeup game.
