Lady Tigers nipped in OT

LYNDONVILLE – Unable to find the back of the net, Lyndonville dropped a narrow 1-0 double overtime decision to Attica this afternoon in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Lyndonville’s best scoring threat came late in the first overtime when a shot from close range rattled off the post.

Attica scored the game’s only goal in the opening minute of the first overtime on a shot by Cassie McCulloch, who also netted the Lady Blue Devil’s lone goal in the 1-0 win at Kendall on Tuesday.

Kendall 2, Byron-Bergen 1
KENDALL – All of the scoring took place in the second half as Kendall nipped Byron-Bergen 2-1 to go to 2-0 in G-R action and 3-0 overall.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Kendall got the game winner on a shot by Riley Igbal off an assist from Justine Barrett after a key long punt by Eagles goalie Garret Love.

Igbal also scored Kendall’s first goal.

Holley 2, Pembroke 2
HOLLEY – Despite enjoying a whopping 44-5 edge in shots on goal, Holley settled for a 2-2 tie with Pembroke in a G-R contest.

Gabe Mendoza and Tyler Chmylak scored in the first half for Holley which is now 0-1-2 on the season.
