Lady Tigers nip Lady Eagles in 9 innings

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Lyndonville erupted for six runs in the top of the ninth inning to outlast host Kendall 7-1 this afternoon in a rainy, wind swept Genesee Region League softball game.

A triple by Aubrey Lewis ignited Lyndonville’s decisive uprising which also included doubles by winning pitcher Maddy Boyle and Lisa Boyce as well as singles by Morgan Hungerford, Kaitlyn Albone and Miranda Lembke.

Rebekah Hoffee and Haley Wetherbee both had 3 hits on the day for Lyndonville as Boyle and Boyce each had 2.

Boyce also singled in Lyndonville’s first run of the game in the fourth inning.

Kendall knotted the contest in the fifth on a double by Kacey Menge.

In the circle, Boyle allowed 3 hits and struck out 4.

Lyndonville improves to 8-1 in the league and 10-1 overall.

Kaitlyn Albone bangs out a hit for Lyndonville.
