Lady Tigers, Lady Rams romp to soccer wins

A quick three goal scoring burst early in the first half sparked Lyndonville/Medina to a 7-2 victory over Pembroke in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game this afternoon at Lyndonville.

It took just eight minutes into the game for Lyndonville/Medina to get rolling as Ella Lewis erupted for three quick goals within a span of just four minutes.

Up 3-1 at the half, the Lady Tigers put a lock on the victory by outscoring Pembroke 4-1 in the second half.

Lewis netted three goals and Maddy Satkowski one during that stretch.

Satkowski, Lily Joe Carpenter and Stella Poler all had assists on the day for the Lady Tigers which are now 1-1 in G-R action.

Roy-Hart 7, Akron 2

Roy-Hart opened defense of its Niagara-Orleans League co-championship with a 7-2 victory at Akron.

The Lady Rams jumped out to a commanding 5-0 half-time advantage.

Ava Owens netted the opening goal and then Kara Choate followed with four in a row to break the contest open.

Owens, Choate, Grace Parker, Kaitlin Mettler and goalie Reanna Perkins all had assists during that stretch.

Nadia White scored the Lady Rams two second half goals off assists from Choate and Mettler.

Roy-Hart is now 2-0-1 overall.
