Lady Tigers edge past Irish

Keeping the brand new scoreboard busy, Lyndonville trimmed visiting Notre Dame 10-8 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League softball game.

Lisa Boyce had two-run double in the third inning and Rhiannon Burgess a three-run triple which highlighted a four-run fifth inning uprising to spearhead the Lyndonville attack.

Aubrey Lewis also had an RBI single in th fourth inning as did Stacey Buckland in the fifth. Miranda Lembcke then tripled in the sixth and came home on a sacrifice fly by Jess Harling.

In the circle, Makenzie Muck registered 7 strikeouts for the Lady Tigers. She also banged out a double at the plate.

Hannah Bowen had 3 hits for Notre Dame.

Improving to 12-2 in the league, Lyndonville will host Byron-Bergen at 4:30 p.m. Friday to close out the regular season.

The game also marked the debut of the Lady Tigers new scoreboard.
