Lady Tigers edge past Lady Hornets

Lyndonville edged past visiting Oakfield-Alabama 6-4 this afternoon to go to 2-0 in Genesee Region League softball competition.
Winning pitcher Maddy Boyle had three hits for the Lady Tigers as Rebekah Hoffee and Haley Wetherbee each added two.
In the circle, Boyle scattered 7 hits and struck out 5.
A triple by Hoffee ignited a three run third inning as singles by Boyle, Kaitlyn Albone and Wetherbee plated the runs.
The Lady Tigers then scored what proved to be the decisive two runs in the fourth frame highlighted by an RBI single by Boyle, two walks and an error.
Jessie Harling makes solid contact for the Lady Tigers.
Now at 3-0 overall, Lyndonville next hosts Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
In another G-R contest Attica erupted for 17 runs in the seventh inning to cap off a 35-10 win over host Holley.
Bailey Papaj had 4 hits for Holley as Brooklyn Bartholomew, Tabitha Swift and Anna Brasted each had 2.
