Lady Tigers earn No. 2 seed for sectionals
Lyndonville has earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Section V Cass D1 softball playoffs.
The Lady Tigers will begin sectional competition on Tuesday against the winner of Friday’s first round game between No. 7 Genesee Valley/Belfast and No. 10 Arkport/Canaseraga.
In Class C1, No. 14 Holley will visit No. 3 Sodus in the opening round at 5 p.m. Friday.
In Class C2, No. 11 Kendall will travel to No. 6 Pavilion for a first round contest at 5 p.m. Friday.
Section VI Softball Playoffs
In a Section VI Class B2 playoff contest, No. 2 Fredonia blanked visiting No. 7 Roy-Hart 11-0 as Jordan Lucas pitched a no hitter with 17 strikeouts.
In another B2 contest, No. 4 Akron downed No. 5 Eden 11-8.
