Lady Tigers earn No. 1 seed for sectionals

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Lorelei Dillenbeck and her Lyndonville teammates have earned the top seed for the upcoming softball sectional playoffs.

A near perfect 15-1 regular season record has earned Lyndonville the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Section V Class C3 softball playoffs.

The Lady Tigers will begin sectional competition at home at 1 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Thursday’s No. 9 Clyde-Savannah (4-14) at No. 8 Oakfield-Alabama (5-14) prequarterfinal game.

In Class C1, No. 11 Holley (4-14) will visit No. 6 North Rose-Wolcott (8-7) at 4:30 p.m. Thursday with the winner to travel to No. 3 Williamson (14-3) at 1 p.m. Saturday.

In Class D1, No. 10 Kendall (5-11) will visit No. 7 Avoca-Prattsburg (9-5) at 4:30 p.m. Thursday with the victor facing No. 2 Honeoye (13-4) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
