Rebounding from an early 1-0 deficit, Akron rallied to defeat host Albion 3-1 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

In other N-O action, undefeated (12-0) Wilson locked up a third straight title by blanking visiting Medina (3-7-2) 4-0, Barker (1-10-1) earned its first league victory by downing CSAT (1-12) 3-1 and Newfane (9-3) bested Roy-Hart (5-7) 5-1.

Albion grabbed a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Mariah Elsenheimer just two minutes into the game but the Purple Eagles could not dent the Akron net again.

Akron answered back with a pair of goals by Cailin Regan, off assists from Alison Ciurzynski and Erica Papke, to take the lead for good by a 2-1 margin at the half.

Regan completed her hat-trick by scoring the Lady Tigers lone second half goal with 19 minutes remaining off an assist from Katie Apholz.

Second place Akron improves to 9-2-1 while the loss drops Albion to 7-6.
