Lady Tigers down Attica to go to 11-0

Improving to 11-0, Lyndonville downed visiting Attica 12-2 in a Genesee Region League softball game this afternoon.
Lyndonville took the lead for good by scoring four times in the first inning as winning pitcher Haley Shaffer
had an RBI double and Ella Lewis an RBI single.
The Lady Tigers quickly upped the lead to 8-1 by tallying four times in the second inning as a sacrifice fly by Shaffer plated one run and a single by Brooke Robinson another.
Lyndonville tacked on two runs in the third on a double by Addison Dillenbeck and a sacrifice fly by Lewis and two in the fifth on a double by Lewis and single by Dillenbeck.
Lewis finished with 3 hits as Dillenbeck and Gracie Johnson both had 2.
In the circle, Shaffer scattered 6 hits and struck out 3.
Holley 24, Wheatland-Chili 0
Holley blanked Wheatland-Chili 24-0 in another G-R contest as Tia Hoffarth and Hailey Herring both had 3 hits and Grace McKeon and Tatum Gagne 2 each.
Hoffarth, who also struck out 8 in the circle, drove in 5 runs and Herring, whose hits included a triple, plated 4.

Lyndonville and Kendall bow
Attica edged Lyndonville 4-2 and Notre Dame trimmed Kendall 7-5 in G-R baseball action today.
Lyndonville tied the game at 2-2 by scoring twice in the sixth inning on a walk, a double by Michael Marker and a single by Jack Whipple. The Tigers then got two runners aboard in the seventh after a single by Trenton Muck and a walk but couldn’t capitalize.
Muck, who had 2 hits on the day, struck out 5 and allowed 4 hits on the mound.
A five run second inning keyed Notre Dame to the win over Kendall which got a pair of hits from Louis Conte.
