Lady Tigers clinch tie for division title

Lyndonville romped past host Notre Dame 19-6 this afternoon to clinch at least a tie for the Genesee Region League Divison II softball championship.

Morgan Hungerford and Haley Wetherbee both had 3 hits for Lyndonville as Rebekah Hoffee had 2, Aubrey Lewis a triple and Miranda Lembke a double. Hungerford drove in a total of 4 runs.

Setting the tone for the afternoon Lyndonville scored 5 quick runs in the first inning highlighted by a two-run triple by Lewis. A single by Maddy Boyle and a bunt single by Kaitlyn Albone ignited the uprising which also include hits by Wetherbee and Lisa Boyce.

Lyndonville finishes the regular season at 11-3 in the league and 13-3 overall.
