Lady Tigers and Lady Eagles score wins

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Olivia Carter scored a pair of goals in Lyndonville/Medina’s win at Attica this afternoon.

Three first half goals powered Lyndonville/Medina to a 3-1 victory over host Attica this afternoon in a Genesee Region League girls soccer game.

Olivia Carter scored the first and third goals for the Lady Tigers and Ella Lewis the second.

The opening goal by Carter came on a direct kick. Brianna McMullen and Alana Drewery then took turn assisting on the final two tallies.

In other G-R action, Kendall avenged an early season overtime loss by downing visiting Oakfield-Alabama/Elba 5-1.

Grace Levett and Brianna Wakefield both scored in the first half to put Kendall on top to stay.

Hailee Mitchell then netted 2 goals and Lizzy Woodams one in the second half to put a lock on the victory for the Lady Eagles.

Kendall improves to 10-2 in the league and 11-4 overall.

Wheatland-Chili improved to 13-0 in G-R competition with a 3-0 win at Holley.

Girls Volleyball

Attica 25-25-25, Lyndonville 19-23-18

Alecia Hinkson had 8 kills, 3 blocks and 5 digs, Natalie Ostrowski 8 assists and Hannah Despard 11 digs for Lyndonville in the three set G-R volleyball loss at Attica.
