Lady Tigers advance to Class D1 finals

Lady Rams, Lady Raiders post wins

No. 3 seed Lyndonville bested No. 10 Hammondsport 4-1 this afternoon in a Section V Class D1 softball semifinal at Wayne Central.

Maddy Boyle hurled a 3 hitter with 6 strikeouts for Lyndonville.

Lyndonville took charge by scoring three times in the fourth inning on RBI singles by Aubrey Lewis and Lisa Boyce and an error. A single by Kaitlyn Albone and an error set up the threat.

The Lady Tigers added an insurance run in the fifth on an RBI double by Morgan Hungerford.

Now at 15-4, Lyndonville will play in the Class D1 finals on Thursday.

Section VI Class B1

Roy-Hart 7, Falconer 0

Top seeded Roy-Hart blanked visiting No. 5 Falconer 7-0 this afternoon as Taylor Fry hurled a 3 hitter with 4 strikeouts.

Roy-Hart took a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run home run by Kayla Brown.

The Lady Rams doubled their advantage in the second inning on RBI singles by Taylor Fry and Brown.

Hannah Rausch and Maddie Fry both tacked on RBI singles for Roy-Hart in the third inning as did Maddy Glena in the fourth. Glena also had a triple to ignite the third inning uprising.

Taylor Fry had a total of 3 hits as Brown and Glena both had 2.

Roy-Hart will next face No. 3 Fredonia in the B2 finals on Thursday. at Niagara-Wheatfield.

Class C

Barker 16, Olmsted 8

No. 8 seed Barker belted top seeded Olmstesd 16-8 in a Section V Class C quarterfinal as Kylie Miller had a three-run double and winning pitcher Erika Moeller and Gabby Wasnock two-run singles. Mary Rounds also had a triple and Destinee Hillman a double.

Moeller pitched the first 5 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 11.
