Lady Thunderwolves have first Div. 1 signee
Contributed Photo – Making school history, Kenetria Redfern became the first Niagara County Community College female basketball player to earn a Division 1 basketball scholarship when she signed a Letter of Intent Saturday to play at Maryland Eastern Shore. This past season she helped lead NCCC to its first Region III title and a berth in the national championship tournament. She was named MVP for the Regional Tournament and went on to earn first team All Conference and second team All American honors. Among the top 12 scorers in the nation she had 734 points, 300 rebounds and 100 steals this season for NCCC which went 31-0 heading into the national tournament.
