Lady Rams win to avenge loss to Mustangs

Avenging a 56-47 loss last week, Roy-Hart downed visiting Medina 58-51 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game this evening.

Trailing 42-41, Roy-Hart rallied to outscore Medina 17-9 in the decisive final period to claim the win. Juliana Terwilliger scored 8 an Lily Brigham 6 during that stretch.

Courtney Aquilina led Roy-Hart with 22 points as Brigham had 10, Terwilliger  8, Adella Dukes 8 and Madison DiNieri and Millie Owens 5.

Iyla Lilleby took game high honors with 23 and Alexa Demmer had 16 for Medina which led 27-24 at the half.

Roy-Hart is now 3-5 an Medina 2-5 in N-O action.

In the other N-O games, front-running Wilson (8-0) defeated Akron (6-3) 54-28 and Newfane (5-3) downed Barker (0-8) 36-22.

Peyton McInnis and Rian Faery each scored 16 and Bella Thrush 11 to lead Wilson.

Mallory Schultz scored 11 and Julia Noonan 10 to pace Newfane.
