Lady Rams top Mustangs in field hockey

Pulling away down the stretch, Roy-Hart blanked Medina 4-0 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game at Vets Park.

Leading by a narrow 1-0 margin, Roy-Hart broke the contest open by scoring two quick goals in less than a minute with 14 minutes to go in the second half on tallies by Alexis Lovewell and Samantha Choate. Lovewell also scored the Lady Rams final goal.

Angelia Ciarfella scored Roy-Hart’s lone first half goal.

Roy-Hart stays perfect at 3-0 while Medina slips to 1-2.

Akron 2, Barker 0
Defending champion Akron blanked Barker 2-0 on first half goals by Hannah and Heather Cummings.

Madison Krzykowski earned the shutout in goal for the Lady Tigers.

Akron is now 2-0 and Barker 1-1.

Wilson 2, Newfane 0
Second half goals by Lizzie Soles and Juliette Dolyk lifted Wilson to a 2-0 victory over rival Newfane.

Wilson is now 1-2 and Newfane 0-3.
