Lady Rams surge past Mustangs; Purple Eagles romp past Lakewomen

Keyed by a big fourth inning rally, Roy-Hart went on to defeat Medina 15-3 this afternoon at Vets Park to improve to 4-0 in Niagara-Orleans League softball action.
In the other N-O contest, Albion romped to a 17-5 victory at Wilson.
Trailing 3-1, Roy-Hart rallied into the lead for good by scoring five runs in the fourth inning as Juliana Buscarino had a two-run single and Maria Peracciny an RBI single.
Keeping the momentum, the Lady Rams built the advantage to 15-3 by scoring three times in the fifth inning and six more in the sixth. Buscarino, who had an RBI single to cap off the fifth inning uprising, had another two-run single in the sixth as winning pitcher Reanna Perkins added an RBII double and Marissa Scott an RBI single.
Buscarino and Lila Brigham both finished with 3 hits and Perkins 2.
In the circle, Perkins allowed 5 hits and struck out 16.
Faith Oberther banged out a pair of triples and Lily Carpenter had a pair of singles for Medina. Oberther’s first triple plated two runs to highlight three run third inning which gave the Mustangs a 3-1 lead.
Medina is now 1-2.
Albion 17, Wilson 8
A big second inning scoring surge sparked Albion to a 17-5 win over Wilson.
Bases loaded two-run singles by Maya Knaak and Aly Knaak keyed a six run second inning which got the Purple Eagles off and rolling.
Maya Knaak, Aly Knaak, Cami London and Mackenzie Snook each finished with two hits. London had two doubles and 5 RBIs.
Baseball
Notre Dame defeated visiting Lyndonville 10-0 in a Genesee Region League game as Bryceton Berry hurled a no hitter with 15 strikeouts.
In an N-O contest, Akron broke away from a 2-2 deadlock by scoring four times in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Jeff Owens, an RBI double by winning pitcher Jack Klodzinski and RBI singles by Drew Romesser and Dawson Stone to edge Wilson 6-2.
On the mound, Klodzinski allowed 4 hits and struck out 11. He also had a total of 3 hits at the plate.
