Lady Rams split in non league twin bill

Roy-Hart split a doubleheader in non league softball action Saturday defeating Byron-Bergen 17-1 and losing to Oakfield-Alabama 10-6.

Kayla Brown had a three-run homer in the second inning to spark Roy-Hart to the win over B-B.

Brown had 2 hits and 5 RBIs in the game as Ashley Bower added 2 hits, including a double and 2 RBIs, and Rachael Rausch 2 hits.

In the circle, Taylor Fry and Lexie Lovewell combined to hurl a 2 hitter with 4 strikeouts.


In the second game, Roy-Hart scored 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth on a double by Brown, a single by Maddy Glena and a bases loaded walk to Rausch to rally into a 6-5 lead.

However, Oakfield-Alabama answered with 5 runs in the seventh to claim the win.

Brown had a total of 3 hits and Lovewell 2, including a triple in the fourth inning.
