Lady Rams shutout Lady Panthers
Pulling away in the second half, Roy-Hart blanked host Newfane 5-0 this afternoon to improve to 4-0 in Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer competition.
Roy-Hart held a slender 1-0 lead at the half on a goal by Nadia White.
The Lady Rams then broke the contest side open in the second half on three goals by Kara Choate and one by White. Maddy Colley, Amelia Konstanty and Ava Owens each had an assist during that stretch.
Rileigh McCabe earned the shutout in goal.
Newfane is now 1-3.
In the other N-O games, Wilson stayed unbeaten at 4-0 by downing visiting Albion (1-3) 3-1 and Akron evened its record at 2-2 with a 7-0 win over Barker (0-4).
Breaking away from a 0-0 halftime deadlock, Wilson claimed the win on second half goals by Rian Faery, Lilly O’Lay and Leia Cloy.
Brittany Spies-Hunt scored Albion’s goal off an assist from Nikki Creasey.
Six different players scored goals for Akron as Cailin Swiezy led the way with two.
