Lady Rams return veteran soccer squad

Contributed Photos – Returning first team All-League honorees Nadia White, Clara Jones and Kara Choate will help lead Roy-Hart into the upcoming Niagara-Orleans soccer season.

Having finished in the runner-up spot last fall Roy-Hart returns virtually its entire squad with which to again challenge for top Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer honors.

Senior Defender Clara Jones, junior Midfielder/Forward Kara Choate and sophomore Midfielder/Forward) Nadia White, who all earned first team N-O All-League honors, and senior Midfielder/Forward Cecilia Santo, who was a second team selection, head that veteran group. Choate scored 24 goals last season.

That large returning contingent also includes seniors Hanna Willard (Defender/Midfielder), Mya Quinn (Midfielder/Forward), Maddy Colley (Defender/Midfielder), Shelby Wolfe (Defender) and Rileigh McCabe (Goalie) along with juniors Reanna Perkins (Goalie), Brooke Livergood (Defender/Forward) and Ava Owens (Midfielder/Forward) and sophomore Grace Parker (Defender/Midfielder). Parker received N-O Honorable Mention.

“The kids have been working hard and we’ve got our big contributors back so we are looking to build on the success of last season,” said Coach Rich Jennings. “We are really thankful and glad for the opportunity to get the season in and we’re looking to see the kids hard work pay off.”

Roy-Hart, which went 7-2-1 in the league and 11-4-1 overall last year is scheduled to open the N-O season with a key match at defending champion Akron (9-1 last year) on October 6.

October: 6 – at Akron, 4:30 p.m.; 8 – Albion, 6:30 p.m.; 13 – Roy-Hart, 6:30 p.m.; 15 – at Newfane, 4:30 p.m.; 20 – Wilson, 6:30 p.m.; 22 – Akron, 6:45 p.m.;  24 – at Albion, 6:30 p.m.; 26 – at Barker, 4:30 p.m.; 29 – Newfane, 6:30 p.m.

Novermber: 3 – at Wilson, 4:30 p.m.
