League champs in 2015 and runners-up last year, Roy-Hart returns its roster virtually intact with which to make another strong run at top Niagara-Orleans League softball honors this season.

Roy-Hart’s underclassmen dominated returning contingent of starters includes seniors Rielly Albee (outfield) and Brianna Brewer (outfield/catcher); juniors Kayla Brown (shortstop), Delaney Draper (second base) and Maddy Glena (first base); sophomores Lexie Lovewell (pitcher), Maddie Fry (catcher) and Jamie Bower (third base) and freshman Samantha Choate (pitcher). The Lady Rams also return junior Katelin Corra along with sophomores Jayden Townsend and Ashley Hill.

Brown and Fry both earned first team N-O All-League honors last spring while Glena was a second team selection. Bower, Lovewell and Choate all received Honorable Mention.

“They can all play,” said Coach Larry Lash. “They know a lot of softball and they have played a lot of softball. The keys for us will be to stay healthy and to play together.”

Roy-Hart went 11-3 in N-O competition last spring finishing behind champion Akron at 13-1.

The Lady Rams are scheduled to begin N-O competition at home against Barker on April 5.
