Field hockey opener Tuesday for Lady Rams

Led by a group of nine returnees, the Roy-Hart field hockey team is prepping for what will be a busy opening week of the Niagara-Orleans League season with three road games.

Seniors Lexiss Diel  (Forward), Miah Glena (Midfielder), Rebecca Bernera (Defender), Raychel Dunker (Defender) and Carmella Huntington (Goalie) along with juniors Justine Laverty (Defender), Amanda Hill (Froward), Claire Halstead (Defender) and sophomore Cheyenne Stilwell (Forward) lead the way for the Lady Rams which open the league season this coming week with games at Wilson on Tuesday, Newfane on Thursday and Akron on Saturday.

“It’s a hard working, very athletic group and it’s exciting to see them progress. Offensively and defensively we’re hoping for good things,” said Jessica Bell-Caprio who is co-coaching the team this season with Colleen Albee.

The Lady Rams graduation losses included first team N-O All-League honoree Samantha Choate (Midfielder), second team selection Abby Ander (Midfielder) and Honorable Mention pick Sophia DiCenso (Defender) along with Forwards Madison Brown, Jenna Gioeli, Stephanie Flowers and Ellery Brown and Midfielder Jazmine Michel.

Roy-Hart went 6-4-2 in N-O action last fall.

November: 5 – Medina, 4:30 p.m.
