Lady Rams nip Mustangs

MIDDLEPORT – Building up a 3-1 half-time advantage, Roy-Hart went on to edge past Medina 4-3 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Taylor Fry, Emma Lindke and Amber Villella each scored a goal in the first half to give Roy-Hart the lead. Villella then netted what proved to be the game winner in the second half.

Taylor Miller scored two goals and Kayla Leno one for Medina.

Roy-Hart finishes the N-O season at 6-8 and Medina at 4-10.

In other N-O action, Wilson (12-0-2) locked up the league championship with a 3-2 overtime victory over rival Newfane (9-4-1); Akron (12-1-1) nipped visiting Albion (9-5) 1-0 and Barker (1-13) blanked CSAT (1-13) 2-0.

Kayla Newman scored the game winner in overtime for Wilson which also got two goals from Holly Rudolph. Savannah Jonathan and Sophie Connor scored the goals for Newfane.

G-R League

Kendall 2, Attica 1 OT
Trailing 1-0, Kendalll rallied to first tie the game in the second half on a goal by Maya Rutland off an assist from Taylor ReQua. Then the Lady Eagles pulled out the victory on a goal in the first overtime period by ReQua.

Kendall finishes the regular season at 13-1-2 overall.

Also in the G-R, Alexander blanked Holley 2-0.
