Lady Rams nip Akron in OT to grab N-O lead

Roy-Hart scored a 2-1 double overtime victory over visiting Akron this evening to take over sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer lead.

Kara Choate scored the game winner in the second overtime period for the Lady Rams whose first goal of the evening was scored by Nadia White in the opening half.

“It was a great team win,” said Roy-Hart Coach Rich Jennings. “They are flying high.”

Akron tied the game on a goal by Kara Sequin with 10 minutes to go in the second half..

Roy-Hart improves to 4-0 and Akron slips to 3-1 in N-O action.

Albion 5, Barker 0
All of the scoring came in the second half as Albion blanked visiting Barker 5-0 on Senior Night as Mariah Plain scored two goals and Abby Scanlan, Claire Squicciarini and Alexis Creasey one each.  Squicciarini and Kendall Derisley also each had an assist.

Lauren Wehling earned the shutout in goal for the Purple Eagles.

Albion is now 2-1 and Barker 0-5 in N-O competition.
