A lone goal late in the first half proved to be just enough to earn Roy-Hart a narrow 1-0 victory over Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game this evening at Vets Park.

Ashley Hill scored the lone goal for the Lady Rams with three minutes to go in the first half off an assist from Alexis Lovewell.

Jamie Bower earned the shutout in goal for the Lady Rams.

The win improves Roy-Hart’s record to 7-2 and keeps the Lady Rams within a game of first place as Akron and Barker now share the top spot at 7-1 after the Lady Raiders 2-1 overtime win over the Lady Tigers this afternoon.

The loss drops Medina to 4-5.
